Our Class Groups
At SlimKind Preschool & Aftercare, we offer small, nurturing class groups designed to support each child's developmental stage. Our classes provide age-appropriate learning experiences, loving care, and a warm, stimulating environment where every child can grow with confidence.
Grey Class (4–12 months)
A gentle introduction to the world. We focus on building secure attachments, sensory exploration, and early developmental milestones in a calm, loving environment.
White Class (1–2 years)
Encouraging independence and curiosity through play. Children explore, discover, and develop early language, social, and motor skills with close guidance and support.
Orange Class (2–3 years)
Building confidence and creativity through hands-on learning, imaginative play, and early pre-academic skills in a fun, engaging environment.
Green Class (3–4 years)
Deepening learning through structured play, early literacy and numeracy, and social skills that prepare children for the next stage of their educational journey.
Purple Class (4–5 years)
Preparing children for big school with a focus on early literacy, numeracy, social skills, and confidence-building in a fun, supportive environment.
Learning Through Play - Our Curriculum
At SlimKind, we follow a private, play-based curriculum that combines a structured approach inspired by the British Early Years Foundaton Stage Curriculum framework with the South African ELDA (Early Learning and Development Areas) framework. Our curriculum is child-centred, focusing on the individual needs, interests and development of each child. Through purposeful play, exploration, creativity and hands-on activities, we support the whole child—including their social, emotional, physical, cognitive and language development—in a fun, nurturing and stimulating environment.
